The day

Coffee. Powder. Soak.
Dinner. Sleep. Repeat.

The day starts with coffee and a look at what fell overnight. Fuel up at breakfast, gear up and walk three minutes to the Tangram lift.

Come back for après, then recover in the sauna or hot tub before dinner around the long table. Sleep well. Tomorrow, do it again.

Inside the lodge

The rooms

Nine rooms.
No two alike.

Six loft rooms for families and groups, and three Retreat rooms. All private and ensuite, each named for the ink-wash landscape that fills the wall behind the beds.

From ¥36,000 a night, breakfast included.

Food & drink

Dinner is the second-best
part of the day.

Breakfast is built for first chair. Après begins when the boots come off. At dinner, the long table fills with food made from fresh ingredients sourced across Nagano and Niigata — menus that move between Japanese and international dishes, guided by the season and made for people who intend to ski again tomorrow.

Tangram Ski Circus · the home mountain

The mountain

Deep snow. Ten mountains.
One home base.

Siberian storms cross the Sea of Japan and unload on this corridor all winter. Tangram is at the door and lift-connected to Madarao — thirteen marked tree runs, the most in Japan, and new on the Ikon Pass for 2026/27. When you want a bigger day, Lotte Arai and Suginohara are up the road.

The skiing & getting here

This winter

The season runs 24 December 2026 – 5 March 2027.

Additional dates open at the edges of the season when the snow allows. Book a room and share the table, or take all nine and bring everyone — the calendar is live and booking takes about two minutes.
